Changing Shape of Place
Changing Shape of Place was the title of the second project in my final year of University. We had to shed light on a group, subculture or event and I chose to interview members of the Hallamshire Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers. The project entailed creating a short publication/zine, and the content was entirely sourced and created myself with the exception of the ink used to print. The paper was made with a DIY deckle and mould, using recycled pulp and seeds made from excess preserves for an ecologically responsible paper stock. The vectors were made in Illustrator, project was assembled in InDesign and the photography was done using a Canon A1 with Kentmere 400+Tamron Adaptall 28mm lens.
