The Future I Cannot See

The Future I Cannot See was a live project in collaboration with writer Hussain Shah Rezaie. After fleeing from Afghanistan and battling various hardships, Rezaie recounts stories from him and his peers who are perpetually stuck in systems designed to break the soul.

The project was the first client brief in which I had taken since I finished my work placement at STFC, and was an intriguing and challenging project to complete. Opting to enhance the experience of a traditional novel, I designed a series of collages reflective of the content solely using the images Rezaie had provided to me. The result was a 60+ page book, hand bound, typeset and designed by me.

Collages and some spreads can be seen in the slideshow to the right.
